52209-What a Friday

It has been one hell of a Friday. From the Red Line being backed up for over a half an hour this morning to the Light Rail derailing, there must be some kind of voodoo going around. Anyway, this week brought in alot of interesting sightings as well as new places and faces.

41709-Daily Observations

It's Friday. The sun came out at the right time of the week and provided to be good for my photos. 2632 ex-Four Mile ran on the 83 this morning stopping at College Park station. 4395 was operating on the R12 this morning. There always seems to be a B30 airport bus on the R12.

After school, headed over to Silver Spring via Hillandale. Luckily the C8 had came in good time so that I didn't have to wait for the C2 to go all the way to Langley Park and further onward to Silver Spring. Ride On 5737 was sitting on the side at Hillandale and snapped some beautiful pics of it nestled between the blooming trees of the spring sunshine. After waiting for a few minutes, a southbound 20 to Silver Spring comes and I'm off to Silver Spring. Snapped a few shots at Silver Spring as usual but nothing really too interesting operating today as opposed to last week. 2:30 comes and I'm off to Union Station to get my MARC train home. While passing by Brookland, I spotted 2651 in the Pike Ride scheme laying over at Brookland. I'm still at odds as to why Pike Ride buses were swapped with Bladensburg. Can't wait to head out tomorrow to enjoy the wonderful spring weather that has finally come.

One more day till Friday. Nothing much to report other than 9366 on the F6 this morning at College Park station.

41509-Daily Observations

Ventured to Silver Spring today as I usually do on Mondays and Wednesdays to kill time before I have to head to campus for classes. Spotted 6425 operating on the S9 this morning along East-West Highway turning onto 16th Street to head to the 16th & Eastern layover. On the Ride On side, 5727 has started belching out black smoke even though this bus has a DPF filter and a low emissions Cummins ISL engine. The hybrids have been belching out black smoke lately. Kinda ironic having a bus that is supposed to help reduce emissions backfire and smoke more than the older buses.
